Havana, Cuba. The President of the Councils of State and Ministers of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez condemned on Thursday, from his official Twitter profile, the attempts of the United States to subvert the constitutional order in that South American nation.
In a tweet issued this morning, the Cuban President said that “we strongly condemn and reject the attempt to impose, through a coup d’état, a servile government to the United States in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela. We ratify the invariable solidarity with the Government of the constitutional president Nicolás Maduro.

Likewise, Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla highlighted “the strong support and solidarity of # Cuba with the constitutional President @ Nicolas Maduro in the face of a coup attempt. The sovereign will of the people of Venezuela will prevail in the face of imperialist intervention. History will judge those who encourage and recognize the coup plotter “.

The day before, a Solidarity Day with Venezuela and the Bolivarian Revolution took place at the embassy of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in Havana, in which political and social movements, friendship groups, diplomatic and local officials of the embassy, the consulate and the defense attaché of that nation manifested their support for President Nicolás Maduro.
Intellectuals and members of solidarity groups denounced the interventionist interests of the United States after the recognition of Juan Guaidó as interim president of the country.
