Greeting Message of Chairman Prachanda on the occasion of the 130th birth anniversary of Chairman Mao Zedong:
On the occasion of his 130th birth anniversary, I pay my highest respect and heartfelt tribute to Comrade Mao Zedong, the leader of the world proletariat and working class.
Born on December 26, 1893, Mao, the hero of the Chinese revolution and the leader of the world proletariat, was a true follower of Marxism-Leninism and a true MLMist leader who developed new ideas and directions. Therefore, commemorating and honouring Mao in today’s context means setting the direction of the revolution with the originality and uniqueness of our country and imbibing the principles of continuous revolution.
Synthesizing Mao’s contributions in the fields of philosophy, political economics, and scientific socialism, our party has adopted Marxism-Leninism-Maoism as its guiding principle. In this context, imbibing the ideological light of MLMism, the historical Eighth National Congress of our party has synthesized the ‘Nepali Road to Socialism in the 21st Century’ and has made a firm commitment to prepare the basis of socialism.
We must be particularly clear that the model and direction of the revolution is not a matter of import-export but depends on the uniqueness and originality of the respective country. This is also a special lesson to be learned from the revolutionary hero Mao Zedong and Maoist philosophy in today’s context.
Finally, on this historic occasion, I express my heartfelt tributes to the great martyrs who made great sacrifices with the dream of socialist revolution. Expressing my highest respect to all the missing warriors, I wish for the speedy recovery of the wounded warriors. Besides, I sincerely appeal to the justice-loving people for their solidarity and cooperation in the national task of preparing the foundation of socialism with the goals of social justice, good governance, and prosperity. Thank you
