Kathmandu. Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, Chairman of the CPN (Maoist Center) and former Prime Minister of the country, has called for building a new model of socialism in the twenty-first century.
Addressing the joint inaugural ceremony of the party’s local level and branch committee conferences through virtual media on Saturday, Chairman Prachanda said, “We shall achieve a new height after the upcoming party conference. We shall make a new synthesis of history. The socialist movement, and the process of building socialism, will gain new life and momentum. A new model of socialism must be built in the twenty-first century. We need to keep on reviewing the good and bad trends that have developed now.”
Chairman Prachanda declared to make CPN (Maoist Centre) the largest party in the country by synthesizing new ideas from the upcoming national conference of the party. He also informed that he was writing the party document for the national conference to synthesize history.
Pointing to the other left political parties, Chairman Prachanda further said, “No party is in a position to think and debate on ideology. Yesterday, we saw a Kumbh Mela (mass gathering). But there is no place for ideas, rather an attempt to confuse. That is the so-called convention. In contrast, we will focus on the idea of organizational conduct. There is no comparison between those so-called conventions and our campaign for the synthesis of ideas.”
Chairman Prachanda stressed the need to bring uniformity in all of the party committees in order to complete the socialist revolution and pointed out the essence of marching ahead with the synthesis of ideas and self-evaluation in the days to come.
The chairman said, “Our party, like other bourgeois parties, is in a threat of going for personal interest. Therefore, we have to correct the shortcomings on time. We have to undergo ruthless self-evaluation. We are in various conferences in the process of this resolution.’
He also mentioned that as there is an increasing attraction of the people for the party, the party (Maoist Centre) is going to be the No. 1 party within some months.
‘In one way or another, the national and international elements are involved to undermine the values established by the Maoist movement and the socialist movement and socialist initiative that it seeks to drive ahead. There is also the challenge of overcoming this. This is an opportunity and a challenge, both, in front of us, ” said Chairman Prachanda, “We can overcome it if unified. Let’s all be unified for this.”
Chairman Prachanda stated that the party would now move forward in a revolutionary direction and directed the party cadres to move forward by internalizing the ideology of Marxism, Leninism, and Maoism. Chairman Prachanda asked the party cadres to provide suggestions to the party headquarter for making the party national conference an ideological conference.
