Diago Pary, Foreign Minister of Bolivia

Kathmandu. Bolivian Foreign Minister Diego Pary ratified Thursday the support for Venezuela’s people and Government, as well as respect for the sovereignty and institutionality of the States in the world.

‘We respect Venezuela’s institutionality, we fully recognize the constitutionally elected president, and in that framework, we reject any destabilizing movement or interventionist act’, Pary told the press.

He also recalled that Bolivia respects international law, peoples sovereignty and is clear about the principle of non-intervention in the internal affairs of States.

In his opinion, it is ‘a coup on the way, fostered by the United States, and we strongly reject it’.

The Bolivian Foreign Minister said that dialogue should be the best solution for any difference between Venezuelans.

On Wednesday, Juan Guaido, head of the Venezuelan National Assembly, declared in contempt of court since 2016, was sworn in to try to assume the executive power and remove President Nicolas Maduro, re-elected with 67 percent of the popular votes on May 20, 2018, for 2019-2025.

That destabilizing attempt was quickly recognized by the US president, Donald Trump, and the so-called Lima Group in an attempt to impose a parallel government in Venezuela.
