Kathamdnu. President Bidya Devi Bhandari has appointed chairpersons to five different constitutional commissions, today.
President Bhandari, on the recommendation of the Constitutional Council, appointed Bishnu Prasad Chaudhary as the chairperson of Tharu Commission, Samim Miya Ansari as that of Muslim Commission, Bijaya Kumar Dutta as that of Madhesi Commission, former secretary Balananda Poudel as that of National Natural Resources and Finance Commission, Shanta Raj Subedi as that of National Inclusion Commission.
Chief Justice Cholendra Shamsher JB Rana administered the oath of office and secrecy to the newly-appointed chairs in the presence of President Bhandari at a special ceremony organised at Shital Niwas in Kathmandu.
Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun “Pashang”, Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Bhanubhakta Dhakal, Deputy Speaker Shiva Maya Tumbahamfe, heads of constitutional bodies, chiefs of security bodies, and special class office-bearers of the Government of Nepal were also present on the occasion.
