The Israel–United Arab Emirates peace agreement, or the Abraham Accord, was agreed by Israel and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on August 13, 2020.

The UAE last week became the first Gulf state to normalize relations with Israel, in a US – as a broker in the accord that raised the prospect of similar deals with other Arab states – including Saudi Arabia.

Under the accord, which Trump helped as a broker, Israel agreed to suspend its planned annexation of areas of the occupied West Bank. The agreement also forms up opposition to regional power Iran, which the UAE, Israel and the US view as the main threat in the Middle East.

Earlier in the news conference, Trump called the UAE-Israel accord a good agreement and said: “Countries, that you wouldn’t even believe, want to come into that deal.” He did not name any other countries besides Saudi Arabia.

Trump also said the UAE was interested in buying F-35 fighter jets made by Lockheed Martin Corp, which Israel had used in combat.

The US-sponsored deal has been seen as forming up opposition to regional power Iran, which Gulf States, Israel and Washington view as the main threat in the conflict-ridden Middle East.

Israel and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have inaugurated direct telephone services between their countries following their agreement last week to normalize relations. The countries’ foreign ministers called each other and “exchanged greetings following the historic peace accord”, a statement said. It is only the third Israeli-Arab peace treaty in the Middle East.

The international community, especially Palestine, Iran and Turkey have denounced it.

While Saudi Arabia says it will not follow the United Arab Emirates in establishing diplomatic ties with Israel till it has signed an internationally recognized peace accord with the Palestinians.

All of us, people of the globe, denounce “American-Israeli-UAE” tripartite agreement.

It is American-Israeli efforts aimed at striking the Palestinian national rights and interests And Arab rights and the lifting of isolation from the Israeli occupation and its criminal entity.

This agreement is a blatant attack on the Palestinian cause, and a continuation of the series of submission and surrender pursued by some official Arab regimes, in contradiction to the will of the Arab peoples who reject normalization with the Israeli occupation, which practices various kinds of terrorism, murder and aggression against the Palestinian people and works to pass its liquidation plots that it encases. With the so-called “Trump – Netanyahu” vision, including the colonial annexation plan, to eliminate the Palestinian right and dream of independence and the establishment of his fully sovereign, independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital and the right of refugees to return to their homes

The UAE’s normalization move is a betrayal of the people, Jerusalem and Palestinian rights, as it is a miserable and open maneuver that cannot be fooled, as the annexation plan does not stop with normalization and subjugation, but rather by adhering to the position of the Arab consensus, respecting the will of the Arab peoples, supporting the Palestinian people and their struggle and strengthening their steadfastness in facing the occupation and his racist colonial projects.

What the United States of America is seeking is not only to extract political recognition of the Zionist entity, but to go beyond that to reach the goal of accepting it as an essential part in the region, to open the Arab borders that are still closed to it, and to cancel all forms of boycott and bring about a shift in Arabic thought to change their political and intellectual view of the Zionist entity.

We need to call the sovereign people of world to unite to reject the tripartite humiliation agreement that harms and risks to Palestinian rights, and to assume responsibility in facing these policies by working to promote the culture of boycott and confront, normalization, and to spread the idea of boycott and its culture in schools and universities and between The ranks of the youth to prevent the normalization policies at all political, economic, cultural, artistic and sports levels … and to carry out youth and popular movements that clash with these normalization policies, which constitute a stab in the side of the Palestinian people, who looks to The youth and the Arab masses to support them today in their daily struggle against American-Israeli pressure and against projects aimed at striking their legitimate national rights, and to restore respect for the Palestinian cause and its advanced position in the Arab struggle, and to have a measure of responsibility and awareness in order to preserve our interests and not compromise our rights.

Long live the unity of the people!
Unite for Peoples struggle!
