Kathmandu. Four major mass organizations of Nepal representing peasants, workers, Dalits, and landless communities have strongly condemned the US-led military attack on the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the reported abduction of democratically elected President Nicolás Maduro Moros, calling it a grave violation of international law and national sovereignty.
In a joint press statement, the All Nepal Peasants Federation (Revolutionary Centre), All Nepal Trade Union Federation (ANTUF), Nepal Dalit Liberation Front, and the All Nepal Squatters Association stated that the attack constitutes a serious breach of the Charter of the United Nations, as well as an assault on the Venezuelan people’s right to self-determination and sovereign decision-making.
Continuation of Imperialist Strategy:
The organizations said the attack is not an isolated incident, but part of a continuing imperialist strategy aimed at crushing the Bolivarian movement and dismantling its achievements in social justice, popular power, sovereign development, the rejection of dollar hegemony, and the pursuit of a multipolar world order.
According to the statement, US imperialism has for years subjected Venezuela to economic blockades, unilateral coercive sanctions, repeated failed coup attempts, political destabilization, and the use of mercenary forces, culminating in open military aggression and abduction plots reminiscent of colonial-era fascist methods.
The organizations asserted that these actions are motivated by the desire to reassert imperialist control over Venezuela’s vast natural resources, particularly petroleum, and to weaken the popular base of the Bolivarian Revolution—an objective they described as completely unacceptable.
Shared Struggle of Oppressed Peoples
Highlighting the revolutionary character of the Venezuelan process, the statement noted that the Bolivarian Revolution emerged from the historic struggles of peasants, workers, women, indigenous peoples, and oppressed communities, inspiring working people around the world with renewed hope in justice and socialism.
Drawing parallels with Nepal’s own political history, the organizations said that Nepali peasants, workers, Dalits, and landless communities—who continue to struggle against feudalism, comprador bureaucracy, bureaucratic capitalism, and imperialist interference—view the attack on Venezuela as an attack on their own collective struggle for liberation.
Strong Demands and Call for Action
The joint statement demanded the immediate, unconditional, and safe release of President Nicolás Maduro Moros and his spouse, revolutionary leader Cilia Flores, full respect for Venezuela’s constitutional government and sovereignty, and an immediate end to all US military aggression, political interference, and economic blockade against the country.
It also called for the abolition of all unilateral coercive sanctions imposed on the Venezuelan people, the protection of their right to self-determination and independent development, and international legal accountability for those who planned and carried out the aggression and abduction attempt.
Appeal for International Solidarity
The organizations urged workers, peasants, Dalits, landless people, youth, women, students, indigenous communities, and all socialist, democratic, progressive, and anti-imperialist forces worldwide to stand firmly in solidarity with the Bolivarian people.
Emphasizing that both diplomatic efforts and mass movements are essential, the statement described the present moment as a historic necessity to defend international peace, sovereignty, and social justice.
Concluding with revolutionary conviction, the organizations declared that the organized power of the people is invincible and that imperialist repression will ultimately end in defeat.

We—the All Nepal Peasants Federation (Revolutionary Centre), All Nepal Trade Union Federation (ANTUF), Nepal Dalit Liberation Front, and All Nepal Squatters Association—mass organizations representing and leading peasants, workers, Dalits, and landless people of Nepal, strongly condemn and denounce the military attack carried out by US imperialism against the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the abduction of the democratically elected President Nicolás Maduro Moros. We consider this a grave violation of the Charter of the United Nations and international law, and a heinous attack on the right of nations to self-determination and on the sovereignty of the people.
This is not an accidental incident; it is a continuation of an imperialist strategy aimed at suppressing the alternatives advanced by the Bolivarian movement -social justice, people’s power, sovereign development, the end of dollar hegemony, and the vision of a multipolar world order; and at destroying the socialist revolution. For a long time, US imperialism has imposed economic blockades, unilateral coercive sanctions, repeatedly attempted failed coups, created political instability, and used mercenary forces against Venezuela, ultimately resorting to open military attacks and abductions—fascist methods reminiscent of the colonial era. All these actions are driven by the objective of weakening the popular base of the Bolivarian Revolution and re-establishing imperialist control over Venezuela’s natural resources, including petroleum, which is utterly unacceptable.
The Venezuelan Revolution is a people-oriented program born out of the historic struggles of peasants, workers, women, indigenous peoples, and oppressed communities. As such, it has inspired hope and confidence in justice and socialism among working people across the world. Since peasants, workers, Dalits, and landless people in Nepal themselves have been passing through a long struggle against feudalism, comprador bureaucratic capitalism, and imperialist intervention, we view the attack on Venezuela as an attack on our own shared struggle for liberation.
We strongly demand the immediate, unconditional, and safe release of President Nicolás Maduro Moros and his spouse, revolutionary leader Cilia Flores; full respect for Venezuela’s constitutional government and national sovereignty; the immediate end to all forms of US military aggression, political interference, and economic blockade against Venezuela; the revocation of all unilateral coercive sanctions imposed on the Venezuelan people, ensuring their right to self-determination and independent development; and that the planners and executors of this imperialist aggression and abduction of a head of state be brought before international law and world public opinion, to ensure an environment of peace and security in Venezuela and across the world.
We call upon workers, peasants, Dalits, landless people, youth, women, students, indigenous peoples, and all socialist, democratic, progressive, and anti-imperialist forces worldwide to stand firmly in solidarity with the Bolivarian people. Raising a strong voice for international peace, sovereignty, and social justice through both diplomatic means and mass movements is a historic necessity of our time. We, the people’s organizations of Nepal, express revolutionary fraternity, international solidarity, and mutual respect with the Venezuelan people. The organized power of the people is invincible, and the ultimate outcome of imperialist repression will be their defeat.
